REVENUE CYCLE INFORMATICIST
Hackensack Meridian Health is dedicated to transforming healthcare and serving as a leader of positive change. The Revenue Cycle Informaticist plays a pivotal role in connecting analytics tools with operational teams to enhance financial and operational performance within the revenue cycle.
Hospital & Health Care
Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting Support: Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership (Patient Access, Billing, Self-Pay, Denials, etc.) to leverage Epic's analytics tools including SlicerDicer, dashboards, and productivity scorecards to identify trends, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and address pressing business needs
Training & Empowerment: Develop and deliver training sessions, lunch-and-learns, and one-on-one coaching to empower managers and staff to become self-sufficient in using analytics for their own data exploration and problem-solving. The ultimate goal is to build a data-literate culture where colleagues can act on their own hunches
Problem Identification & Root Cause Analysis: Proactively and reactively investigate operational challenges, such as spikes in claim denials, low digital pre-service payment rates, or poor eCheck-in success. Use data to uncover the root cause and recommend targeted solutions
Liaison & Collaboration: Serve as the key liaison between the Revenue Cycle teams and IT/Business Intelligence (BI). Translate operational needs into technical requirements and collaborate to determine the most effective and efficient data solutions
Process Improvement & Optimization: Review and analyze enhancement requests from the operational teams. Define the priority and potential financial impact of these requests, and help determine whether they require an IT build or can be addressed through user coaching and existing tools
Dashboard & Tool Development: Assist users in creating, customizing, and maintaining dashboards and SlicerDicer sessions for the continued monitoring of critical metrics and operational health
