Responsibilities

Conduct and support FEED studies for carbon capture projects and provide technical support during the EPC phase
Lead and oversee a team of process engineers in delivering key project documents, including PFDs, P&IDs, Heat & Material Balances (HMBs), and design specifications
Monitor, mentor, and guide junior engineers in the development of:
Process design specifications
Heat and material balances
Process flow diagrams and design flow plans
Process equipment sizing and selection
Preliminary hydraulic and utility balances
Basic process control and instrumentation
Materials selection and safety facilities
Perform and/or lead process optimization studies to evaluate capital and operating cost savings, process configuration alternatives, and safety requirements
Provide technical oversight of engineering contractors during FEED and detailed engineering to ensure alignment with company standards, project specifications, and owner requirements
Participate in and support HAZOP reviews for new, modified, and existing facilities

Required

Experience working on major capital projects exceeding $1 billion
Hands-on experience with Aspen HYSYS, ProSim, or other process simulation software
BS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent (required)
Experience in the petroleum refining, chemical processing, or oil and gas industries, preferably with an engineering contractor
Proven experience supporting capital project development, including FEED and EPC phases
Familiarity with process safety requirements within the oil and gas industry
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

Prior experience with carbon capture processes is a significant plus
