Signal Processing Engineer
Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers. They are seeking an entry level Signal Processing Engineer to work in their San Diego, CA office, focusing on data analysis, algorithm development, and providing software implementation support for maritime remote sensing solutions.

Responsibilities
Perform data analysis, algorithm development, documentation, and provide software implementation support and test
Document your efforts and your findings, share your work through a software repository, ticket system, and/or wiki
Participate in test events at sea and in lab environments
Assist in taking test records, writing reports, and briefing results
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's or graduate degree in science or engineering is required, primarily within Signal Processing, Physics, Electrical Engineering, and AI/ML
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS Clearance
Must be able to develop basic algorithms in Matlab or Python and have experience or training in machine learning
Understanding of basic signal and image processing
Strong understanding of mathematics and physics
Strong communication skills and ability to be organized and document efforts
A mission focused mindset motivated to aid the warfighter is desired
Preferred
Experience or education in remote sensing applications, underwater acoustic systems, UUVs, and/or oceanographic instrumentation
Experience or education in software development in C/C++
Experience or education in firmware development in Verilog/HDL
