The Summer Law Clerk role provides practical legal experience and exposure to corporate law while assisting in legal research, compliance, and collaboration with various departments.

Responsibilities
Assist in legal research and preparation of legal and/or department documents
Participate in meetings and provide summaries of legal issues
Collaborate with various departments to gather information and work cross functionally with the legal department
Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations including research on compliance related issues
Present summary of work completed and impact on department to senior leadership
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
Completed post-secondary education (college/university)
Currently enrolled in law school (rising 2L or 3L)
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities effectively
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Preferred
Interest in organic and working with farmers and cooperative business model
