Corporate Compliance Specialist

Morton Community Bank is a well-established financial institution with a strong commitment to its employees and community. They are seeking a Corporate Compliance Specialist to ensure that key functions and procedures adhere to regulatory standards and to assist in monitoring regulatory changes impacting the bank.

Responsibilities

Maintain an awareness of all regulatory changes and assist the Chief Compliance Officer with adjustments to the monitoring program
Monitor assigned regulatory changes, analyzes the changes and their potential impact to the Bank and communicate it to the Chief Compliance Officer
Monitor the regulatory environment through reading, research, networking, in order to help prepare the Bank from any increased scrutiny that may be developing
Develop or amend existing compliance review work programs to incorporate any changes in law or regulatory focus
Perform departmental process and procedure reviews, as applicable, to identify any areas of non-compliance, or increased risk of non-compliance, with banking rules, laws, and regulations
Prepare reports of the results of completed reviews to help guide department managers in making corrects as well as inform senior management of the results of the review

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent education or experience
BSA and other Bank related training through BAI is required annually
Two to four years in field or related area
Knowledge of customer service principles
Relevant computer skills
