Responsibilities

Lead and complete the development of combustion hardware from initial concept to production. This includes concept down-selection, designing, modeling, analyzing (FEA / CFD), rapid prototyping, testing, and iterating as necessary to achieve program level goals
Provide support to manufacturing, suppliers, overhaul and test facilities, and customers
Investigate product issues to identify root causes and define and implement effective corrective actions
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams through precise instructions, specifications, and reports

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
3+ years applying computational methods (FEA / CFD) to simulate combustion, instability, emissions, mixing, temperature fluctuations, turbulence, and flashback propensity
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; self-motivated, collaborative, and an effective communicator
Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

Preferred

Experience with solid modeling, creating prints, and a strong understanding of GD&T is a plus
Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, and Siemens NX is a plus
Experience with hands-on manufacturing is a plus
Experience designing additive manufactured parts (3-D printed) with complex internal passages from the ground up is a plus
