Technical Program Manager, Material Flow Automation
Tesla’s Manufacturing Engineering team is at the forefront of building cutting edge assembly lines and automation cells. They are seeking a Technical Program Manager to manage multiple automation conveyance projects and ensure the successful delivery of these projects across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
Strategic calendar management and time planning support. Use executive maturity and judgment with full knowledge of business context to execute decisions around prioritization and maintain constant communication with manager. Exercise a sense of priority and awareness for high impact meetings, and urgent business needs, and ensures follow-up
Proactively drive communication and liaise between executives, central teams, and other business partners to share information and practices that drive efficiency
Navigate with executive maturity and calmness in dynamic situations. Use executive maturity to escalate issues, proactively ensuring teams effectiveness and consistency. Balance multiple complex projects and timelines end to end while maintaining executional and operational excellence within the division and across business groups
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Factory Design, Factory Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Product Engineering/Manufacturing, Legal, Real Estate, Finance, Operations, and other supporting functions to drive Infrastructure programs
Partner with stakeholders to create detailed plans that cover strategy, scope, timelines, risks, resource needs, and cost targets to accelerate pivotal infrastructure programs
Offer innovative and timely solutions to address/overcome program challenges
Produce program reports and executive summaries in tandem with functional leaders from the organization
Innovate and implement tools and analytics for project reporting, enabling program teams to concentrate on problem-solving
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, with 7+ years of experience in program management or equivalent experience
Mastery in prioritizing tasks with impeccable time management skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to manage several complex projects at the same time with high degrees of variation and uncertainty
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project) and basic knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA)
Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills with natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
Proven ability to operate autonomously with minimal guidance, demonstrating a proactive and motivated mindset
Evident strong interpersonal skills, ensuring productive channels of communication and management of professional relationships, eagerness to immerse oneself in projects, showcasing a hands-on approach
A passion to work with automation equipment and design processes around it
Ability to lead a project from concept through to installation and hand-over while working in a close-knit, team environment
Must understand the integration of equipment design into existing or new systems, and knowledge of material flow strategies and dynamic manufacturing systems is an asset (floor or overhead conveyance systems, lifts, cranes, EMS, power and free, AGV's)
Position will offer unique and complex engineering challenges that require persistence, innovative thinking and a positive attitude
