Responsibilities

Assist and support, and min some minimal instances, build and support of the Epic Benefits Engine Application which is a component of Resolute
Performs liaison activities for all PAS software vendors to maintain a cohesive and collaborative communication route
Maintains a fluid understanding of interconnectivity and integration with EMR and third party applications
Works with internal IT teams on technical troubleshooting, integration, reporting and training as well as with operational teams to understand desired system outcomes
Completes assigned tasks per defined project scope, timelines, and budgets
Demonstrates creativity and passion to continuously learn
Follows department standards and procedures
Communicates effectively at all levels and with users at a non-technical and clinical level
Alerts senior staff members of any outages, problems or delays
Maintains knowledge of health care, technology and industry trends
Maintains appropriate certifications for software vendors
Able to collect data regarding current data processing environment and documents workflows and system access
Applies analytical skills and related Application knowledge to define the information requirements necessary to design, build and install upgrades and/or new implementations
Ability to make recommendations for workflow based on system capabilities
Develops and/or evaluates previously refined data and programs and selects from a range of alternatives to determine the appropriate action to be taken
Understands functionality and relationships between supported applications
Support optimization efforts of clinical staff and departments
Reviews and test changes in newly released software to ensure integrity
Resolves post installation technical problems in a timely manner, escalating issues as necessary to the appropriate organizational or vendor level
Carries out routine duties independently; uses appreciable originality on system assignments and discusses or seeks approval on complex matters
Researches, identifies and implements solutions to special client requests or requirements and thoroughly documents all identified solutions and standard operating procedures
Plans independently the full range of programming actions needed to achieve desired end-results on complex problems; analyzes and suggests system development tasks
Performs Epic design/build/update. Assist in building Master Files, Profiles, Category Lists, Reports, Health Maintenance, Best Practices Alerts, department locations, smart forms, flowsheets, scheduling templates, scheduling questionnaire’s, and other master files as assigned
Monitors release notes for pertinent build and testing for the system
Keeps documents and change logs updated
Maintains quality control between environments with build activities
Develops or helps in the development of work plans, task sequencing
Develops time schedules, conversion and test procedures for all aspects of system
Executes necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine project feasibility and develops project scope
Assists in developing project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth for assigned area with the team
Utilizes change management process
Completes required documentation
Serves as member of various employee committees to discuss workflow, system needs and changes
Coordinates activities with other departments and work groups as needed
Serves as a backup to related positions as needed
Help Desk support as needed
Performs related duties as assigned

Required

2 years of strong analytical experience that includes performing workflow assessments, capturing business needs, analyzing internal systems and process flow in a healthcare setting
Bachelor's degree required along with an appropriate certification within the software module being supported
Certification can be obtained within 6 months of implementation of the module
A two year college degree and an additional 3 years of related software analyst experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Ability to build, implement, and understand software applications and extracts that contribute to the workflow within the organization
Good customer service, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with other departments and functional areas and effectively gather and disseminate information to a diverse range of people
Excellent decision making skills; sound judgment in handling/escalating difficult situations
Excellent technical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail as well as ability to communicate and formally present information to project leadership, key stakeholders, and subject matter team members
Experience accomplishing responsibilities with little supervision and maintaining confidentiality
