Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed Primavera P6 schedules for utility substation and transmission construction projects
Build cost- and resource-loaded schedules, incorporating labor, equipment, materials, outages, and sequencing constraints
Apply and actively manage Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules, identifying critical and near-critical activities and assessing schedule risk
Support project teams by helping develop and refine high-quality baseline schedules, not just updating existing ones
Work directly with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and field crews to collect progress updates and validate schedule logic
Conduct regular on-site coordination at active construction sites (primarily Brooklyn), translating real-time field conditions into accurate schedule updates
Analyze schedule variances, delays, and productivity issues and recommend corrective actions or resequencing strategies
Prepare and present weekly and monthly schedule reports, including milestone tracking and executive-level summaries
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, outage planning, and construction teams to ensure alignment across all workstreams
Assist with Primavera P6 best practices, including mentoring or supporting less experienced schedulers as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in project scheduling for large-scale capital construction projects
Deep hands-on scheduling expertise
Strong field presence
Ability to work closely with project managers, construction crews, and engineers
Understanding of how construction progresses in the field
Experience with developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed Primavera P6 schedules
Ability to build cost- and resource-loaded schedules
Experience applying and managing Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules
Ability to identify critical and near-critical activities and assess schedule risk
Experience in developing and refining high-quality baseline schedules
Ability to collect progress updates and validate schedule logic
Experience conducting on-site coordination at active construction sites
