Responsibilities
Prepare individual tax returns (1040’s) and possibly corporate, partnership, and other types of returns (depending on experience)
Provide basic accounting services as needed
Perform all work in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures
Maintain technical tax skills through on the job training and participation in internal tax training sessions Communicate directly with client when appropriate
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Prepare individual tax returns (1040's) and possibly corporate, partnership, and other types of returns (depending on experience)
Provide basic accounting services as needed
Perform all work in compliance with the firm's policies and procedures
Maintain technical tax skills through on the job training and participation in internal tax training sessions
Communicate directly with client when appropriate
Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation
Strong analytical skills to enable effective decision-making
Solid written and oral communication skills
Excellent client service orientation with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner
Preferred
Either a 2 or 4-year accounting degree is preferred (relevant work experience, may be considered in-lieu of degree)
1-2 years of tax return preparation experience preferred but not required
CPA desired but not required
Prior experience with a public accounting and/or professional services firm preferred
