NDT – FPI Level III (Non-Destructive Testing)

Responsibilities

Execute and document process control checks
Create, revise, review documentation and update files
Inspect production parts
Interact with level II inspectors regarding production disposition
Audit Level II inspections
Provide input on NDT Technician performance reviews
Communicate with Engineering regarding production problems
Review rework and scrap parts
Interact with customers and engineering personnel to review existing, develop new or improved processes as required
Participate in facility audits (NADCAP, ISO, internal)
Maintain qualification of production equipment
Evaluate new technology/materials for production

Required

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Must be qualified or previously qualified as a Level 3 in FPI and a minimum of 4 years' experience as a level 2 in the method and possess experience to pass Howmet Testing for Level 3 in FPI within 4 months of hire
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred

Qualified or previously qualified as a Level 3 in FPI
Basic understanding of FPI with the ability to learn and develop systems
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundaments of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
