Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end product design across web and mobile
Use an existing design system confidently to move fast and stay consistent
Rapidly translate ambiguous product ideas into shippable designs
Partner tightly with engineering to move in days, not weeks
Design high‑trust experiences for sensitive use cases (career transition, benefits, AI guidance)
Evolve the design system pragmatically as the product grows
Create clear handoffs and stay engaged through implementation
Run lightweight user testing and feedback loops
Set and uphold a quality bar that scales as contributors are added
Qualification
Required
5+ years of product design experience (SaaS, consumer, or mission‑driven)
A strong portfolio showing shipped work (required)
Deep fluency in Figma; comfort working within established systems
Experience collaborating closely with engineers; HTML/CSS familiarity is a plus
Comfort operating with incomplete information
Bias toward action and iteration over perfection
Preferred
Veteran or military‑adjacent background is a strong plus, not a requirement
