Responsibilities

Utilizing knowledge acquitted in obtaining engineering or construction management degree to analyze the engineering concepts of a project

Overseeing construction personnel to ensure construction procedures, methods and materials follow those specified in the contract documents. Directing Construction Superintendents, Project Managers, Foreman, etc. to comply with contract documents throughout the duration of a project

Utilizing knowledge of technical components of a project to ensure those components meet the engineering requirements of the contract documents

Performing engineering calculations throughout the duration of the project to determine such requirements as pump performance, mechanics of concrete, pipeline hydraulics, and electrical adequacy

Preparing cash flow calculations from a critical path schedule and schedule of values in order for the project owner to budget total project cost and to monitor contractors progress and scheduled completion

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology

Associate's degree or technical school certification in science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting or other relevant technical curriculum, and 4+ years of qualifying engineering experience working in the engineering/design field

Ability to make decisions affecting the cost and performance of the work

Preferred

Advanced degree

Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate

Licensed Professional Engineer

Municipal and State Agency experience

CCM, USACE CQM, CCCA, NICET certifications
