Wage Claims Investigator
The California Department of Industrial Relations is dedicated to improving working conditions for California's wage earners. They are seeking a Wage Claims Investigator to investigate claims, interview workers, and educate the public on labor laws while enforcing wage and hour regulations.

Responsibilities
Proactively investigates claims to evaluate compliance with the law
Interviews workers
Holds settlement conferences to resolve disputes prior to adjudication of claims
Gathers relevant facts and applies theories of liabilities in order to assess violations
Educates the public on labor laws
Performs a wide variety of duties involving enforcement of wage and hour laws in the WCA program
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be either reachable on an employment list, have transfer eligibility or have reinstatement eligibility

Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available)
