MGM Resorts International is a leading entertainment company, and they are seeking a Biologist & Educator to enhance the Shark Reef Aquarium experience. This role involves designing educational programs, leading community outreach, and training staff to engage guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

Develop and design high quality, innovative, interactive, and entertaining curriculum for education programming including school tours, outreach programs, Career Days, Reading Weeks, birthday parties, Girl Scout badge programs, community events and aquarium visitors

Work with the Education Manager in content development of educational materials, training manuals for students, classes and staff, and other educational related signage and programming

Lead and interpret the Aquarium’s living collection to guests, schools, private groups, and VIPs through interactive programs and classroom activities daily

Schedule education program reservations, including field trips, outreach programs, birthday parties, and scout programs as well as plan and implement special events and programs

Provide training and development of the Aquarium interpretive staff including Education Tour Guides and Naturalists

Required

Comfortable engaging with a wide range of age groups, from preschool children to adults

3+ years in a teaching environment; directly related educational program and curriculum development experience

Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Zoology and/or Education; or equivalent education and experience

Must be 18 years of age or older
