Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate university-wide sourcing opportunities through data analysis and market research
Conduct detailed spend analysis and develop insights to support strategic sourcing initiatives
Lead or coordinate RFx events (RFI, RFP, RFQ), including bid analysis and supplier evaluations
Support contract negotiations in collaboration with category managers and internal stakeholders
Develop reports and dashboards to track savings, performance metrics, and sourcing outcomes
Manage and evaluate supplier relationships to ensure quality, value, and continuous improvement
Benchmark procurement practices against industry standards and best practices
Execute special strategic sourcing projects to drive cost savings and operational efficiency
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with university objectives

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible strategic sourcing experience
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience working with statistical and financial data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with strong data analysis capability
Experience using Oracle, JAGGAER (SciQuest), or similar ERP/procurement systems to run sourcing events
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, or a related field required
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (degree may substitute for up to two years of experience)

Preferred

Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
Advanced experience working with Oracle or similar enterprise systems
