Responsibilities

Provide support for on-premises cloud environments, including both Linux and Windows operating systems, with a focus on automation and system optimization
Manage and maintain on-premises Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments
Develop, deploy, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks, including provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring
Deliver CDS services within the assigned technology domain across various security levels and IT environments as required
Provide timely and effective customer support for service requests, incident resolution, and operational troubleshooting
Support the deployment, transition, and release activities for newly developed on-premises cloud services and CDS solutions

Required

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 3 years experience
Experience supporting Linux operating systems in enterprise environments
Experience managing VMWare virtual environments
Certification: Existing DoD 8570 security certification (e.g., Security X, Security+, CISSP), or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of starting
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Familiarity with Agile tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence
Knowledge of security policies related to IT systems in secure environments, with a focus on Linux
Proficient in performing system maintenance, installations, upgrades, and backups on Linux systems
Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills across multiple sites
Ability to learn and follow documented policies and standards
Excellent customer service, communication, and process documentation skills
Strong understanding of on-premises cloud environments, including Linux operating systems
Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or Python
Experience with managing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues effectively and efficiently
Familiarity with system monitoring, configuration management, and scripting to optimize operations
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset to work within a team environment
