Responsibilities

Reads and understands print drawings, specifications and purchase orders for correct test requirements, procedures, and sampling plans
Conduct thorough inspections of products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
Record and report inspection results, including any defects or discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of inspection activities
Work closely with the production team to communicate quality issues, provide feedback, and recommend corrective actions to ensure product quality
Ensure that products comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes (e.g. root cause analysis)
Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and inspection procedures
Supports and participates in internal audits and corrective action follow ups, as required
Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to guarantee accuracy and reliability
Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and discrepancies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Must meet visual acuity requirements
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and torque gauges
Microsoft and basic computer skills
Strong skills in blueprint and part drawing interpretation, including understanding GD&T (per ASME) and accessing digital prints and drawings

Preferred

Associate degree in a related field preferred
Experience in an ISO 9001 environment a plus
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing tools (standard work, 5S, visual management, etc.) a plus
Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing safer, more efficient practices across operations preferred
Positive attitude, accountability, and willingness to learn and grow a plus
