The role involves developing a system architecture using Model Based Systems Engineering techniques and supporting the development and communication of the system architecture for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Developing a system architecture using MBSE techniques
Developing models for current and future system designs
Developing system and system element architectures, designs, and interface definitions
Supporting internal and external design reviews
Performing system architecture design using SysML based tools
Defining system functionality, including system states and modes
Defining system design for software requirements and functional interfaces
Synthesizing design characteristics into an implementable system architecture
Working with the requirements management team to ensure accuracy of the subsystem element model
Coordinating with the team for modeling and simulation scenarios, and predicted performance
Supporting system timelines and working with software and hardware teams
Documenting system design and implementation for various use case scenarios
Conducting model-based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance and behaviors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
Experience with DOORS 9.7
Experience performing trade studies
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
U.S. citizenship
Detail-oriented and analytical individual with excellent technical skills
Preferred
Experience with budgeting and scheduling
Experience with open system architecture
Experience defining interface and mission requirements
