CAD Engineer (Starlink/Akoustis)

Responsibilities

Create custom device layouts in Cadence’s AWR, balancing the needs of filter design and fabrication engineers to fit competitive designs into small footprints with aggressive design rules
Manage design rules for multiple BAW processes, proposing changes as needed to meet challenging new developments
Troubleshoot and update new automation tools to maintain design integrity while maximizing layout efficiency
Layout experimental designs with device team for new process development
Create and verify manufacturing test maps and plans

Required

Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline
2+ years of experience with CAD layout
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet critical milestones
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Preferred

Proficiency in Cadence or similar CAD tool
Demonstrated understanding of computers and programming languages (preferred Python)
Understanding of semiconductor processes and structures, like BAW filters, capacitors, resistors etc
Experience in using LVS/DRC tools to make layout updates
