Field Manager

The Field Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for coordinating, managing, and monitoring landscape production sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
Lead and oversee assigned crews to ensure job sites are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications
Conduct pre-site inspections to plan workflow, assess site conditions, and anticipate potential challenges
Perform post-site inspections and quality checks to confirm work meets company and client expectations
Identify plant, tree, turf, or irrigation issues and take action to resolve them quickly
Manage day-to-day workflow by prioritizing tasks, assigning crews, training employees, and monitoring progress
Ensure accurate and timely completion of crew timesheets, job tickets, and weekly production reports
Serve as the first point of contact for customers on job sites, handling questions or concerns with professionalism and urgency
Maintain company equipment and enforce strict adherence to operational and safety standards
Close all assigned work orders with complete and accurate documentation within required timelines
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to build skills, improve performance, and support career growth
Partner with leadership to continuously improve job-site processes, crew productivity, and customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of progressive landscape industry experience, including supervisory responsibilities
Demonstrated proficiency with irrigation systems, plant health, and turf management
Working knowledge of landscape equipment operation and maintenance
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think ahead and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, respond, and build trust with both crews and customers
Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting/carrying equipment and working outdoors in various conditions
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to deliver consistent results
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in reporting and documentation
Preferred
Associate's degree in landscaping, horticulture, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted
