Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a dedicated Drupal/PHP Developer to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This REMOTE position involves upgrading several of our key applications to Drupal 10, requiring a strong background in Drupal and PHP development.

Responsibilities

Upgrade and maintain applications in Drupal, transitioning from version 9 to 10
Update the PHP version of applications from 8.0 to 8.1, ensuring compatibility and stability
Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and implement functional changes required by the upgrade
Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to optimize performance
Maintain documentation for system configurations, database processes, and upgrade protocols
Assist in the resolution of any compatibility issues between older and newer versions of software

Required

Candidates should be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Public Trust Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or supplemented with related experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web development with a strong focus on Drupal and PHP
Strong knowledge of PHP 8.0+ and experience in upgrading PHP versions
Familiarity with SQL databases, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and version control systems like Git
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Good communication skills and the ability to handle project management tasks

Preferred

Experience in migrating to Drupal 10 is highly preferred
