Axiom Space is collaborating with Astrolab, Inc. to develop a Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) for future Artemis missions. The Electrical Engineer will lead the design and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Leading the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications
Ensuring designs satisfy requirements and demonstrate performance in a thorough verification and validation program
Planning and performing testing of components and integrated assemblies
Overseeing the integration of electrical systems into larger projects, ensuring system functionality, reliability, and safety
Coordinating with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and mechanical engineering to ensure cohesive system design
Conducting detailed analysis and simulation of physical systems to predict performance and identify potential issues
Driving innovation in electrical system design, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance product capabilities
Managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables related to electrical engineering tasks
Preparing and presenting technical reports, design documentation, and project updates to stakeholders
Performing additional job duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution
0-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, avionics, or related field
Familiarity with implementation of NASA Standards, Federal Standards, and/or DOD Standards
Experience with embedded system design with micro controller integration
Experience with PCB routing and high frequency signal routing
Experience with electrical system design tools and simulation software (e.g., Altium, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice)
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones

Preferred

Experience in Extravehicular Activities (EVA) and Extravehicular Robotics (EVR) operations and hardware
