Pediatric Autism-Focused Psychologist - Faculty - Assistant Professor

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a board certified or board eligible psychologist to join their expanding Pediatric Psychology & Developmental Medicine Division. The role focuses on providing clinical services primarily to children with developmental concerns, particularly Autism, while also engaging in teaching and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical services to children with developmental concerns and their families, with a primary emphasis on Autism services
Conduct psychological assessments, including comprehensive diagnostic evaluations
Engage in consultation and liaison services with schools, community agencies, and other systems of care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that may include medical providers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dieticians
Participate in professional development, scholarly activities, and administrative duties
Clinical 90%: Services provided include psychological assessment and testing and individual and group psychotherapy
Teaching 10%: All Department faculty are expected to teach psychology learners, residents and medical students as they rotate through our clinics. Dedicated supervision opportunities may also be available
While this is primarily a clinical position, opportunities for clinical research and teaching are available
Perform other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate

Required

Eligible candidates should have a PhD or PsyD in an APA approved clinical psychology, school psychology, neuropsychology program, or appropriate subspecialty program
Candidates must also be licensed, or eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin
Demonstrated competence in psychological testing and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and families

Preferred

Clinical experience assessing and treating children and specialized training, including fellowship in child psychology is preferred
Specialized training or experience in pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder
