Responsibilities
Own preparation and oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across a multi-entity real estate portfolio
Perform and review bank and general ledger reconciliations across operating and property-level accounts
Manage treasury functions, including cash management, lender reporting, covenant compliance, and refinancing activity
Oversee accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings
Prepare budgets and forecasts and analyze variances against actuals
Manage quarterly investor distributions and related reporting
Partner closely with ownership and executive leadership on financial decision-making
Coordinate with outside tax accountants and auditors
Review and approve payroll
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate, timely reporting
Support ad hoc financial and investment-related projects, including family office activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in real estate accounting
Experience with property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings
Preferred
CPA a plus, not required
Significant hands-on experience in real estate accounting
Comfortable working in a lean organization where individuals wear multiple hats
Experience owning the full accounting lifecycle rather than supervising large teams
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage sensitive financial information
Strong judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through
Interest in building a long-term role within a stable, closely held organization
