Responsibilities

Develops and executes sourcing strategies and conducts evaluation of subcontractors, equipment, and/or materials
Issues contracts, reviews invoices, verifies pricing against PO’s and backup documentation, and processes change requests
Leads negotiations on complex contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to optimize cost savings
Issues purchase orders (PO’s), and tracks services/deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment
Maintains accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
Resolves issues related to subcontractor and delivery delays, defective goods, or invoice discrepancies
Collaborates with accounting and operations teams to align procurement strategies
Stays informed about market trends, supply chain risks, and new sourcing opportunities
Conducts training sessions and mentors Junior Buyers on best practices
Ensures the overall daily operations are prioritized in accordance with business needs
Develops and implements process improvement to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of contract law and vendor management best practices
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred

Expert knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and/or logistics
Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to effectively multitask and juggle simultaneous demands while remaining flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with little direction or oversight
Excellent interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with Expert-level Excel skills
Ability to make reasonable, rational, quick decisions while under pressure and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
Ability to adopt MN processes and standards
