OPS Biological Scientist
CHEManager International is seeking an OPS Biological Scientist to support the MD-UF Diabetes Institute. The role involves managing data transfer and analysis, optimizing SOPs for flow cytometry experiments, and maintaining laboratory safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Follow established workflows to manage data transfer, data storage, and data analysis on flow cytometry software such as FlowJo
Assist with the optimization of SOPs for flow cytometry experiments
Perform QA/QC, cleanup, and maintenance on flow cytometry instruments to maintain optimal and consistent operational capacity
Perform lab maintenance and cleanliness in all areas where work is performed and comply with all EH&S laboratory safety and chemical hygiene protocols and principles
Additional duties as assigned by the Immune Screening Core manager and UFDI leadership
Perform flow cytometry processing from human blood, then collect data for these experiments on flow cytometry instrumentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related life science field or Associate's degree and 5 years of relevant experience
Meticulous attention to SOP and data management details
Ability to prioritize duties and organize time
Ability to work with an extensive array of computer programs
Good team and interpersonal skills to interact with investigators and lab personnel
Flow cytometry experience
