Responsibilities
Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot:
Flow meters
Pressure transmitters
Temperature sensors
Load cells
PH meters
Level switches
Perform loop checks, signal verification, and corrective actions
Maintain and update:
Instrument indexes
I/O documentation
Wiring diagrams
P&IDs
Troubleshoot and support Rockwell PLC systems
Maintain and troubleshoot FactoryTalk View and PanelView HMIs
Monitor PLC/HMI performance and assist with:
Minor programming changes
Version control
Backups (following MOC procedures)
Support VFDs, servo drives, and motor controls
Diagnose downtime involving controls, sensors, and automation systems
Support processing, batching, packaging, and material handling equipment
Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to reduce downtime
Participate in root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
Support automation upgrades and process optimization projects
Assist with integration of new equipment
Recommend improvements for reliability, safety, and data visibility
Qualification
Required
3+ years experience as an I&C Technician, Controls Technician, or similar in an engineering environment
Hands-on experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
Hands-on experience with FactoryTalk View (SE/ME)
Hands-on experience with PanelView HMIs
Hands-on experience with VFDs
Strong instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting experience
Ability to read and interpret Schematics
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
Ability to read and interpret Ladder Logic
Ability to read and interpret Electrical diagrams
