Responsibilities
Prepare and post month-end journal entries; support accurate and timely financial statement preparation
Compile, review, and file sales tax returns; ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Monitor and maintain compliance with licenses and permits
Manage property tax schedules and ensure timely payments and filings
Perform account reconciliations for customer/vendor rebates, prepaids, intangibles and accrual accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Review and process travel and expense (T&E) submissions; ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate reporting
Support special projects and initiatives as needed to enhance financial operations
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
Three or more years of relevant work experience
Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.)
Intermediate accounting knowledge and experience
Professional communication skills (written and oral)
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
Adaptable and collaborative in team settings
Ability to skillfully prioritize tasks, track tasks for completion, and be capable of creating documents for the purpose of presentations and internal company meetings
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems
Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
