Responsibilities

DO-254 Leadership: Lead the planning and development of PHAC, HDP, HAS, and related certification documents. Manage Design Assurance Levels (DAL) across hardware lifecycles
Author white papers, test plans, technical documentation and test reports
Work with project specific systems engineering to understand and maintain customer requirements
Ensure compliance with industry standards where applicable
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field strongly preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role
Proven understanding of MIL STDs required
Understanding of environmental standards, MIL STD 810 or DO-160
Ability to work in a team and gather information required for technical documentation
Understands data input/output requirements and equipment requirements
Understands the design process of creating schematics, circuit card assemblies and printed wire boards
Broad knowledge of engineering systems including firmware/SW, digital and analog electronics, and mechanics
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Able to speak comfortably with management, program managers and directors, and clients
Willing and able to travel both in and outside US
Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance required

Preferred

Good understanding of MIL STD 461 EMI/EMC testing strongly preferred
Military service or government contract experience preferred
