They are seeking a Manufacturing Sustainment Engineer to support products transitioning to production and improve manufacturing processes while working with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Support products transitioning to and currently in production

Work with the manufacturing and R&D engineering teams to implement incremental product improvements to increase reliability and manufacturability, and to decrease cost and cycle/lead times

Lead investigations into manufacturing/design issues and present proposed changes

Create new and improve old assembly processes and integrate them into existing designs

Design tooling and test stations to be used in manufacturing

Generate parts, assemblies, and drawings in Siemens NX in order to document changes to designs

Write/modify manufacturing work instructions to incorporate new techniques/tools

Develop strong product knowledge in imaging systems, and contribute across multiple different programs

Work with vendors to address piece part manufacturability decisions

Required

5+ years experience in either a manufacturing, or hands-on R&D role

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar

An understanding of basic electrical systems such as oscilloscope operation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Organized and detail-oriented

Ability to work in Siemens NX or similar CAD tool

Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred

5+ years experience in either a manufacturing, or hands-on R&D role

PLM experience such as Teamcenter

2+ years utilizing a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
