Responsibilities
The candidate will work as part of a drug development team with a range of responsibilities including:
Conjugation reaction development, characterization of reaction profiles and kinetics studies, impurity and residuals removal (e.g. ultrafiltration/diafiltration) and commercial process development activities
This will be a lab-based role, with documentation and presentation of experimental data also expected
Qualification
Required
PhD degree in organic chemistry or a related field (or Master's with 3 years' experience)
Experience in bioconjugation and/or antibody drug conjugate (ADC) development
Proficient in standard organic characterization techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, Q-NMR)
Familiarity with bioanalytical techniques used for bioconjugation reaction monitoring/characterization (e.g. CE-SDS, icIEF, soloVPE, etc.)
Ability to work as part of a drug development team
Responsibilities including conjugation reaction development, characterization of reaction profiles and kinetics studies, impurity and residuals removal (e.g. ultrafiltration/diafiltration) and commercial process development activities
Maintain laboratory notebooks and computer files
Participate in group and project meetings
Work in a team environment collaborating with various colleagues in process development including process chemists and analytical chemists
Top 3 must have skills: Bioconjugation or antibody drug conjugate experience, Interpretation of analytical data, Teamwork, Evidence of Publications and Presentations Skills
Preferred
PhD in organic chemistry or a related field
2+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry with experience in bioconjugation and/or ADCs
Knowledge of bioconjugation/ADC processes and analysis
Competent in analytical techniques including NMR, HPLC and Mass Spec
Familiarity with techniques for analyzing bioconjugates (e.g. SEC, HIC, etc.)
Experience in reviewing and interpreting analytical data
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills
Knowledge of basic software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
