Responsibilities

Creation of data pipelines to move data from source applications to BI Platforms (SQL server, Teradata EDW, Data Lake, Snowflake)
Review Data Integration (ETL/ELT) requirements and design ETL following design pattern standards and SDLC procedures established by Kiewit Technology Group
Extract data from various source systems such as database systems, file systems and cloud-based systems (e.g. API acquisition)
Tests, Documents and Schedules the ETL Integrations
Plays an integral part of an agile delivery team comprising of product owners, project managers/scrum masters, cross functional IT team members including other reporting team members

Required

Awareness of database environments (MSSQLServer, Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Snowflake, etc)
Awareness of distributed systems and big data storage formats (eg DataLake, HDFS, Spark, ORC, Avro, Parquet)
Passion for data analysis
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion to keep current and adapt to emerging technologies in the Data Engineering space
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees and others; individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively
