Responsibilities

Develop and implement export control and sanctions compliance tools and processes across SAP

Drive innovation and continuous improvement of export control and sanctions compliance systems and controls

Enhance KYC procedures and proactively monitor data trends and anomalies

Support early detection, escalation, and incident handling for emerging risks

Apply data and predictive analytics to anticipate export control and sanctions compliance challenges

Support IT implementations and enhancements to export control and sanctions tooling

Foster strong cross‑functional relationships and strengthen SAP’s global export control and sanctions compliance community

Lead and support enablement, communication, and training activities

Required

University degree; additional technical credentials (data analytics, IT systems, computer science, statistics) are a strong plus

Fluent written and spoken English; other languages are an advantage

Rich expertise in export control and sanctions regulations (e.g., OFAC, EAR) with a strong learning mindset. Deep understanding of related business processes

Proven project management experience

Experience analyzing multi‑source export control and sanctions compliance-relevant data to detect trends and risks. Experience conducting root cause analysis

Familiarity with emerging compliance technologies and technology‑enabled approaches to export control and sanctions compliance

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex processes, policies, and advice to non-experts

Assertive and convincing personality, high level of commitment and flexibility

Proven success working with multinational, cross‑functional teams

Strong judgment, decisiveness, and ability to operate under time pressure

Ability to build trusted partnerships with team members, peers, internal clients, and external customers

Minimum 10 years of experience in export controls or sanctions compliance - ideally within a global organization, specialized consultancy, or equivalent environment
