Human Resources Operations Manager
Avetix Bio is focused on optimizing HR processes and ensuring compliance with employment laws for their US-based team. The Human Resources Operations Manager will oversee core HR functions, improve operational processes, and support strategic HR initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities
Execute core HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll support, benefit support and employee data management
Manage and maintain HR system files and Employee files and ensure accurate and timely maintenance of HR records:
Act as daily point of contact for employees’ general inquiries
Respond to and assist employees with any HR related queries
Coordinate and issue approved HR communications in a timely manner
Assist with the coordination and administration of the annual benefits open enrolment process and participate in benefits renewal planning
Reinforce best practices and answer employee and manager inquiries about HR programs, policies, and other HR-related items in a timely manner
Contribute to building a strong, values-driven culture
Implement approved initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, morale, and retention
Prepare and upload the approved job descriptions in the required format for new and existing job roles in intranet
Partner with hiring managers to review Job descriptions and align with the job evaluation requirements
Update and implement HR procedures
Contribute to the revision and preparation of HR policies
Implement approved HR policies and communicate with Line Managers
Monitor and review the employee handbook annually
Annually update of employee benefits handbook as directed
Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and enhance efficiency
Manage the onboarding process: coordinate background checks and pre-employment screenings, facilitate new hire paperwork, collaborate with internal IT to ensure equipment and various accounts are set up, schedule first day arrangements, administer and review onboarding surveys
Update intranet and New Starter Bio/profiles prepared and uploaded prior to new starter commencement
Support the employee with a detailed overview of teams, Lattice, Intranet and conduct 1:1 in setting up their online profiles and lattice objectives
Prepare draft induction plans and schedule prior to the new starter commencement
Conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews and collaborate with the HR team to ensure a seamless transition for incoming and exiting employees
Oversee the new hire touchpoints (30, 60, 90), as well as the midyear, annual, and other ad hoc reviews
Coordinate, conduct and document exit interviews
Manage the IT equipment returns, terminating system
Qualification
Required
Tertiary qualifications in human resources management or equivalent
Demonstrated 5+ years in Biotechnology environment preferred
Demonstrated experience in low volume professional level recruitment
