Residential Program Manager
Bay Area Women's Center is seeking a Residential Program Manager to oversee daily shelter operations and manage crisis situations. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating services for residents, and developing individualized service plans to assist clients in overcoming challenges.

Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day shelter operations, ensuring compliance with agency policies and safety protocols
Manage crisis situations promptly and professionally to minimize risk and liability
Coordinate emergency shelter services, including transportation and on-call coverage
Supervise, train, and evaluate residential and crisis staff
Assign residential clients to caseworkers and monitor client progress
Provide crisis intervention, individual/group services, education, advocacy, information and referrals, and all other residential client services
Develop and implement individualized service plans to assist clients in recognizing and overcoming their individual challenges and barriers in areas such as housing, safety, mental health, and substance abuse needs
Participate in case management meetings and contribute to program development
Attend training to continually strengthen knowledge and skills
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in social work or related human services field
A bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years' experience in a related human services field, shelter management, or program management
Ability to manage program operations and staff
Experience supervising and mentoring diverse staff teams
Ability to manage emergencies and provide trauma-informed care
Experience providing individual and group support services
Ability to respond and manage emergency shelter situations
Critical decision-making skills
Ability to understand and work within the parameters and context of state/federal grants
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be non-judgmental and work with a diverse population
Able to lift 20 pounds on occasion
Able to travel within the service area and the state
Able to safely operate office machines and shelter appliances/equipment
