Responsibilities
Decompose the system into functional sub‑systems/blocks
Own the high‑level BOM structure
Provide the major assembly cost allocation model
Act as a key stakeholder in program and engineering design reviews
Ensure DFx criteria and Compliance are met
Accountable for FMEAs
Develop system‑level test plans and approve sub‑system level test and spec verification plans
Accountable for the completion of all Engineering Documentation
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 15 years of related experience with an EE, ME or other science Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience in the Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Industry
Has a proven successful track record as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer with ownership of multiple subsystems or entire systems
Minimum of 15 years of related experience with an EE, ME or other science Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience working as a System Engineer
Has a proven successful track record as a Senior System Design Engineer with ownership of multiple subsystems or entire systems
Proven ownership of system specifications and system architecture for multi‑disciplinary products
Demonstrated leadership of DFx adoption and FMEA creation/approval; experience driving risk closure from RPN prioritization through mitigation
Track record of delivering cost‑aligned designs and leading tradeoff decisions under aggressive program schedules
Preferred
Working knowledge of SEMI and safety standards (e.g., SEMI S2/S23, UL/CE) and product compliance processes
Expertise with SysML tools (e.g., CATIA/MagicDraw), requirements management, model‑based systems engineering, data analysis (MATLAB/Python), and DFx analytics
Strong cross‑functional leadership with Engineering, Product/Program Management, Technical Owners, Manufacturing, Test/Lab; effective communication in reviews and executive updates
