Vice President of Government and Institutional Giving

Responsibilities

Lead proposal development for mission-aligned corporate, foundation, federal, state, and local government grants and contracts
Oversee a portfolio of private institutions, and government funding relationships, including consultant coordination, research, vetting, proposal submission, reporting, and stewardship
Manage government relations firms and oversee organization-wide tracking of government relationships
Track, analyze, and vet public RFPs to ensure alignment with Project HOME's strategic priorities
Identify and cultivate new government partnerships, public funding sources, and tax credit opportunities
Collaborate with executive, senior, and program leaders to develop proposal narratives, budgets, and reports
Write and/or edit grant proposals and funder reports
Ensure timely, accurate compliance and reporting across all government and institutional funders
Conduct site visits/tours, and represent Project HOME at meetings and public-facing events
Supervise the Director of Institutional Giving and Grants & Reports Coordinator
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three, fostering accountability and professional growth
Coordinate organization-wide staff participation in proposal development and reporting, with a strong emphasis on healthcare-related funding
Utilize Raiser's Edge for moves management and funding tracking
Coordinate contract management through the Agiloft contracts management system

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in government and institutional fundraising
Demonstrated success securing and managing federal, state, local, and private foundation grants
Deep Expertise in public-sector grant and contract proposal development
Effectively collaborates cross-functionally with executive, program, and finance teams
Proven leadership experience supervising professional-level staff
Strong strategic, policy, and budget planning experience within complex organizations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuasively articulate mission and impact
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license

Preferred

Master's degree
Experience with supportive housing and health-related grants (e.g., SAMHSA)
Experience with state tax-credit programs
Proven success leading and mentoring grants or development teams toward ambitious revenue goals
Demonstrated ability to cultivate and steward long-term relationships with government agencies and institutional funders
