Responsibilities
Design mechanical systems and equipment
Make calculations, simulations, and cost estimates
Talk to suppliers to find new components for your designs
Ensure compliance with safety standards
Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
Analyze problems encountered by customers and recommend solutions
Elaborate mechanical plans and technical quotes for the systems and equipment
Prepare and present project reports
Provide technical support to internal teams and customers
Provide technical support to Sales, Manufacturing and Service teams
Travel occasionally to customer sites
Qualification
Required
You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
You have at least three years of experience in mechanical design
You have knowledge of Solid Edge software — an asset
You are a good communicator, both written and spoken
You can successfully interact and work with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a production environment
