GPS IIF Navigation Payload Systems Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level)

The Boeing Company is seeking a GPS Navigation Payload Systems Engineer to support the GPS sustainment program at Schriever Space Force Base. The role involves providing real-time support for GPS Navigation Payload operations, performing data analysis, and ensuring system performance requirements are met.

Responsibilities

Provides real-time support to on-orbit GPS Navigation Payload and satellite operations, including investigation of and resolution of satellite anomalies
Performs GPS Navigation Payload trending and analysis
Maintains software scripts used for data parsing and trending analysis in C#, Python, Java, and Matlab
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of experience in systems engineering or a closely related field
2+ years of experience in data analysis, trending, and reporting
1+ years of experience programming in a high-level language such as C#, Python, Java, or MATLAB
1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems

Preferred

(Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1+ years of experience with satellite operations
1+ years of experience with the Global Positioning System
1+ years of experience in telemetry analysis and trending
1+ years of experience in anomaly resolution
1+ years of experience in Kalman filter analysis
1+ years of experience in Radio Frequency systems
