The Data Engineering Intern will support manufacturing operations by building and maintaining data pipelines, enhancing data quality, and enabling advanced analytics for engine production.

Responsibilities
Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for manufacturing operations
Support the integration of factory systems data into centralized databases
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and reliability
Participate in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
Document processes and contribute to data quality initiatives
Help implement data security and compliance measures
Work with business to prepare reports and dashboards for plant management and business unit teams
Document findings and present recommendations to stakeholders
Participate in meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
Familiarity with programming languages such as C# or Python
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, AL/ML, or a related field
Preferred
Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) is a plus but not required
Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems (DELMIA Apriso, Ignition) a plus but not required
Coursework or experience in data analysis, statistics, and visualization preferred
