Responsibilities
Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of SolarWinds and LogicMonitor monitoring platforms across transit systems
Develop custom dashboards, alerts, and reports to meet operational KPIs and SLA requirements
Integrate monitoring platforms with cloud services (Azure/AWS), enterprise systems, and third-party tools for unified observability
Provide application-specific and custom monitoring solutions, partnering with application owners
Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams to ensure comprehensive, resilient, and secure monitoring coverage
Maintain and enhance monitoring for hybrid (on-premises/cloud) infrastructure operations
Document monitoring architecture, workflows, and escalation protocols for both internal and vendor use
Utilize scripting (PowerShell, Python) to automate monitoring tasks and custom integrations
Apply ITIL practices and incident response workflows to monitoring processes
May require travel up to 50% within New Jersey; must have own vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on SolarWinds experience in enterprise or public sector settings
3+ years managing LogicMonitor in hybrid/cloud environments
Strong skills in SNMP, WMI, NetFlow, database polling, and scripting (PowerShell, Python)
Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
Familiarity with database queries for custom monitoring
ITIL process knowledge
Preferred
Experience with critical infrastructure monitoring
SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) and/or LogicMonitor certifications
Experience with Orion SDK and API data extraction
