1+ years expHIMpros is hiring a Certified Medical Coder to support a busy Level 3 Trauma Facility. This is a fully remote position offering schedule flexibility and involves assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, PCS, and/or CPT codes to inpatient records.

Responsibilities
Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, PCS, and/or CPT codes to inpatient records
Ensure appropriate DRG assignment
Review medical documentation to support code selection and coding guidelines
Collaborate with CDI staff through Iodine’s Interact platform for query resolution
Meet a productivity expectation of 16–20 inpatient charts per day
Qualification
Required
AHIMA or AAPC certification (CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CIC)
Minimum 1 year of inpatient coding experience
Experience with Altera EMR (formerly Sunrise Clinical Manager) and Solventum CAC
Knowledge of DRG assignment and current coding guidelines
Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote setting
Preferred
Familiarity with Iodine's Interact for CDI query workflows
Previous experience coding for a trauma-designated facility
