Principal Supplier Engineer - Electrical CCA - NY / NJ area

They are seeking a Principal Supplier Engineer to improve supplier performance and support various commodities related to weapon systems production. This role involves managing supplier relationships, conducting technical evaluations, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities
Communicate and translate technical data packages to suppliers
Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
Manage non-conforming products
Drive root cause and corrective action
Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
Collaborate with and mentor teammates
Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
Support domestic travel as needed (Approx 60%)
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a Bachelor's in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, as described below
Experience in at least one of the following: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing & quality systems and/or technical supplier management
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing / factory environment is strongly preferred
Active DoD clearance
Experience with any of the following commodities: CCA/PWB/Flex, Antenna/Power/Networks, Cables/Harnesses/Integrated Assy/Electronic Components, RF, or Optics
Experience performing supplier assessments
