Assistant Professor of Accounting
Wilkes University is an independent, comprehensive university dedicated to academic excellence. They are seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor in Accounting who will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, engage in scholarly activity, and provide mentorship to students.

Responsibilities
Teach both undergraduate and graduate accounting courses
Conduct scholarly activity, including publications in quality peer reviewed journals
Offer services to the school, university, and community
Mentor traditional undergraduate students interested in accounting
Supervise/conduct related field research
Qualification
Required
Doctorate degree in Accounting
Current research in the field of Accounting
Candidates who are ABD status will be considered if they will complete their PhD prior to employment
Ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate accounting courses
Experience in teaching graduate courses in accelerated, online format as well as face to face
Engagement in scholarly activity with publications in quality peer reviewed journals
Offer services to the school, university, and community
Mentoring traditional undergraduate students interested in accounting
Supervising/conducting related field research
Demonstrate a strong understanding of learning and motivation
Skills in the assessment, advising, and mentoring of learners
Ability to deal effectively with individual differences in ability, personality, and interests
