Technology Consulting Solutions Director
Sharp Decisions is seeking a Technology Consulting Solutions Director to provide strategic technical leadership for their internal technology stack while serving as a client-facing consultant. This role combines deep technical expertise with consulting leadership to drive operational excellence and deliver impactful client solutions.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and optimize internal technology systems, processes, and workflows
Lead technical infrastructure improvements and digital transformation initiatives
Establish best practices for project delivery, quality assurance, and knowledge management
Mentor technical teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Oversee proof-of-concept development and technical feasibility assessments
Partner with account executives on high-value sales calls and client presentations
Lead technical aspects of client proposals, including solution architecture and implementation roadmaps
Conduct client needs assessments and develop tailored technology strategies
Serve as primary technical consultant for complex, multi-faceted client engagements
Build and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers
Identify emerging technology trends and their application to client challenges
Develop service offerings and methodologies based on industry best practices
Support market expansion efforts through industry-specific expertise
Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and capability development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in IT consulting, systems integration, or technology management
Strong understanding of enterprise technologies including cloud platforms, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital transformation
Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, PMI)
Demonstrated experience across multiple industries (manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, retail, government, etc.)
Understanding of industry-specific compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks
Track record of successful technology implementations in diverse business environments
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
Experience developing and presenting proposals to C-level executives
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing cross-functional teams and client relationships
Understanding of IT service delivery models and pricing strategies
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred
Master's degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, or related field
Professional certifications (PMP, ITIL, cloud platform certifications, industry-specific certifications)
Experience with business process optimization and organizational change management
Background in pre-sales engineering or technical sales support
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, blockchain, or automation platforms
