Administrative Assistant
Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in the Birmingham, AL area that is seeking a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join the team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service and administrative support, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist visitors at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression
Answer phone calls, directing calls appropriately and taking messages as needed
Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations
Accept incoming deliveries and handle outgoing packages
Make outgoing phone calls to vendors and subcontractors as needed
Occasionally run errands such as picking up or dropping off documents
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills
Proactive attitude
Ability to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors
Comfortable with sending professional emails in Outlook
Can navigate Word, Excel, and Adobe
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent typing skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with front desk operations and phone etiquette in a professional setting
Preferred
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
Working for a GC or SC is a bonus
