Epic Analyst I- Professional Billing

Duly Health and Care is seeking an Epic Analyst I for Professional Billing to support and troubleshoot operational issues related to Epic and other technical systems. The role involves collaborating with team members, providing IT support for Epic modules, and participating in system enhancement projects.

Responsibilities

IT support of 1 to 2 Epic modules with emphasis on the Professional Billing Module
70% of time dedicated to daily operational support and quarterly system updates
10% of time dedicated to projects which includes supporting system enhancements/new features, enhanced workflow design, and optimization
Participates in additional projects as assigned by supervisor
Works effectively and efficiently as part of a team on assignments. Can work independently on some assignments. Takes direction
Collaborates with customers, vendors and other IT professionals to meet challenges and coordinate resources to achieve quality outcomes
Supports existing connections across systems; monitors active integration channels
Escalates problems and concerns to supervisors
Develops how-to documentation and workflows for end-users and fellow team members
Provides on-call support
Expected to pursue Epic or other industry specific certification in assigned modules within six months of hire

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
1-3 years in a healthcare environment
Basic technical aptitude: Excel (filters, formulas, pivot tables or lookups)
Ability to review data and troubleshoot issues
Expected to pursue Epic or other industry specific certification in assigned modules within six months of hire

Preferred

Epic PB experience (end-user, support, reporting, or entry-level build)
Exposure to Epic Clarity/Chronicles (even read-only)
Experience with claim edits or fee schedules
Basic SQL or reporting experience
Revenue cycle or healthcare IT certifications (Epic, HFMA, HIMSS)
Experience working with tickets, incidents, or user issues
Exposure to Professional Billing (PB) revenue cycle
Experience with at least one PB workflow: Charge entry or charge review, Claims creation or submission, Claim edits, rejections, or denials, Payments, adjustments, or AR follow-up
Experience working with EHR or billing systems
