They are seeking a Research Technician I to support the Bryan Brain Bank by performing standardized laboratory tasks and assisting with tissue preparations to facilitate research on Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias.

Responsibilities

Performing standardized laboratory tasks in support of Brain Bank operations, including labeling, aliquoting, slide handling, and basic tissue preparation under supervision
Assisting with tissue request preparation, including pulling blocks/slides, organizing materials, and packing shipments
Supporting general laboratory maintenance, including cleaning work areas, restocking supplies, and maintaining organization of shared spaces
Performing basic data entry into tracking systems (Excel, REDCap, LabArchives) following established procedures
Assisting with freezer organization and inventory updates under supervision

Required

Completion of an Associate's degree in a related field
Experience/exposure to scientific disciplines related to medical and/or biological research

Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment
