Public Relations Coordinator

Responsibilities

Coordinate all communication efforts, including but not limited to the Church bulletin, Church and Early Learning Center Website, myParish App, and other related platforms
Work with Parish and its ministries to ensure timely updates to parishioners of activities and upcoming events
Assist in the planning of Parish events for Church, School, and Early Learning Center and create flyers, signage, and media for timely communications
Work with a team weekly to develop new programs to increase parishioner time, talent, and treasure sharing
Prepare and analyze reports as requested

Required

Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field or its equivalent in experience
Be a practicing Catholic in good standing
Must have knowledge of the teaching of the Catholic Church, and a familiarity with its structures, functions, and institutions
Knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Canvas, Word Press, and fluent in multiple social media sites
Ability to work independently and be flexible in a changing environment
Good customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to assume leadership and responsibility
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, employees, and the public
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, when necessary, and ability to travel and drive one's own vehicle to various diocesan locations
